Market information - Uzbekistan

Since 2012 the construction industry in Uzbekistan is gaining momentum again. Given the small volume (1st half of 2013: about 2.3 billion Euros) there is much room for improvement. The boom is mainly being driven by infrastructure projects, expansion projects in the gas industry, ore mining and the construction of new enterprises in the manufacturing sector. The activities in house building including a project for turn-key houses on the countryside supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have a hand in the boom as well. Among the projects in the transport infrastructure road construction and the construction and modernization of new and existing rail trails and their electrification protrude.
